FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS

ENGINEERED CO2 SYSTEMS

High Pressure CO2 (HP CO2) Fire System

The Kidde High Pressure Carbon Dioxide (HP CO2) System is ideal for industrial processes where flammable materials and vapors present a potential fire hazard.

The Kidde HP CO2 System utilizes highly sophisticated electric and/or pneumatic detection units which sense fire at its inception.  It is designed specifically for each hazard and operated automatically, to ensure immediate detection and rapid suppression.

The Kidde HP CO2 Fire Suppression System is an engineered system available in three application configurations: total flooding (for unoccupied areas), local application or hand-hose line. Gaseous carbon dioxide rapidly suppresses fire by a combination of cooling and oxygen displacement. Discharge duration and agent flow rates are customized for the individual application.

Dry Chem System Install

Industrial Systems

Product Description

The Amerex Industrial Fire Suppression System uses our exclusive ABC (Model 555) dry chemical. Protecting sensitive and valuable property, ABC dry chemical has quick flame “knock-down” and can help to secure Class A fires against re-ignition. Since many hazards involve a variety of fuel sources, our ABC dry chemical, with protection against Class A (wood, paper, pulp), Class B (flammable liquids), and Class C (live electrical equipment) is the agent that is best suited for most Industrial hazards.

The Amerex Industrial Fire Suppression System incorporates an automatic detection system that will operate in case of a fire anytime, 24/7, even if no one is present. As with the rest of the system design and philosophy, the automatic fire detection system uses fewer components which saves on installation and maintenance costs. The Amerex Industrial System features a number of exclusives, including the first industrial system to be listed by UL under the newest edition of test Standard 1254 for nozzle heights up to 23’4” above the floor.

Demanding applications require industrial-strength solutions. If you deal with hazardous material storage or commercial painting applications, you’re aware of the risks: spills from highly flammable liquids, volatile fumes and the potential for chemical leaks. And when an ignition source is brought into the mix, it can be disastrous. The MONARCH Dry Chemical system helps you protect your people and assets.

Vehicle Systems

Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems

Product Description

Amerex Dry Agent Systems have long been the industry standard for vehicle fire suppression and provide the fastest fire knockdown as well as getting into those hard-to-reach areas where fire might hide. Dry chemical is so effective because of its ability to flow around obstructions to get to the hidden areas where fires start. Water based agents cannot get to these areas allowing the fire to grow and spread. Each system uses vertical or horizontal stored pressure agent cylinders discharging dry chemical at predetermined nozzle flow rates. Dry chemical cylinders are listed to operate within ranges from -65F to 150F (-54C to 65C).

Amerex Dry-ICS Systems combine the strengths of both agents and provides the best possible fire protection option by providing rapid fire knockdown with dry agent and the cooling effects of the ICS liquid agent system. The dual agent is designed for simultaneous discharge or with a time delay between Dry and ICS release for an extended discharge for larger vehicles. The Dry-ICS system meets the dual agent requirement of NFPA 122 12.3.6.1.1 for hydraulic/diesel excavators with hydraulic systems larger than 150 gallons.

Electronic Systems

Product Description

The Amerex Strike Control Unit is the result of years of rugged mining, transit and military electronic evolution. Specifically designed to work with the Amerex Kitchen Fire Suppression System, the Strike Control Unit is able to monitor and release two completely separate hood systems, and it can be tied into auxiliary controls such as the building’s alarm system. Primary and secondary batteries provide continuous, uninterrupted fire detection and fire suppression system actuation without the need for an external power supply. Unlike traditional control mechanisms, the Strike Control Unit utilizes Linear Heat Detectors and Spot Heat Detectors that have no moving parts are fully supervised, minimizing the negative effects of grease build-up.

The Amerex Strike Control panel works with both appliance-specific or zone defense coverage and provides 24/7/365 coverage. It interfaces to Amerex UL-listed gas valve and multi-relay high-current auxiliary switching modules and features event logging and recording. Easy to install, the Strike Control Panel comes inside a stainless steel case.

Boston ProTex Fire Suppression

The ProTex II system offers breakthrough technology in the industry’s most flexible and effective fire suppression system.
The fire extinguishing agent is a potassium carbonate-based water solution that knocks the fl ame down, cuts off air to the burning grease and cools the hazard area to help ensure the fire stays out.

The ProTex II system has been tested and approved in accordance with the ul testing standard for kitchen cooking areas, Standard ul-300. ProTex II authorized distributors must be extensively trained in system design, installation and maintenance.

ProTex II system components undergo continuous research and development, which result in continuous improvements to virtually every aspect of the system. Your ProTex II system will provide affordable, effective protection for your cooking area.

Aerosol Fire Suppression

Stat-X® fire suppression is an advanced aerosol technology that protects enclosed special hazards. Aerosols are an effective new alternative to traditional special hazard fire protection. Stat-X fire suppression is currently used worldwide in many critical applications. Stat-X aerosol fire suppression should be considered when evaluating the use of halon substitutes, CO2, inert gas, dry chemical, or water mist. Stat-X fire suppression is an approved halon replacement and hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) alternative.
