Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems
Amerex Dry Agent Systems have set the standard in the vehicle fire suppression industry, providing rapid fire knockdown and superior protection, even in hard-to-reach areas where fires often begin. These systems are highly effective because dry chemical agents can flow around obstructions, ensuring that hidden fire hazards are addressed. Unlike water-based agents, which often fail to reach concealed areas, dry chemical agents are able to prevent fires from growing and spreading by quickly attacking the root of the fire.
Each Amerex Dry Agent System uses vertical or horizontal stored pressure agent cylinders, discharging dry chemical agents at predetermined nozzle flow rates to ensure maximum effectiveness. Designed to operate in extreme conditions, dry chemical cylinders are rated to function in temperature ranges from -65°F to 150°F (-54°C to 65°C), providing reliable fire suppression in a variety of environments.
Amerex Dry-ICS Dual Agent System
The Amerex Dry-ICS System combines the power of both dry chemical agents and the cooling effects of an ICS liquid agent system, offering superior fire protection for larger vehicles and equipment. This dual-agent system provides the fast knockdown capabilities of dry agents, alongside the cooling benefits of the ICS liquid agent, ensuring a more comprehensive approach to fire suppression.
The Dry-ICS System can discharge both agents simultaneously or with a time delay between the dry chemical and liquid releases. This flexibility allows for extended discharge, which is particularly beneficial for larger vehicles or equipment. The system is fully compliant with NFPA 122 12.3.6.1.1, meeting the dual-agent requirements for hydraulic/diesel excavators with hydraulic systems larger than 150 gallons.
