KYLE COX

GENERAL MANAGER

Kyle Cox serves as General Manager of Valley Fire Control, LLC, a fire and life safety company with more than 20 years serving Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. A 22-year veteran of Valley Fire Control, Kyle began his career in the shop and field as a technician and has grown into his current leadership role with every level of the business behind him.

Kyle's technical depth is his defining professional strength. He holds extensive expertise across the full range of suppression systems Valley Fire Control services — including kitchen and pre-engineered dry chemical suppression, aerosol suppression systems, and special hazards systems spanning inert gas, clean agents (Halon, FM-200, and Novec 1230), and CO2 systems in both high-pressure and low-pressure configurations, including marine applications. That hands-on command of complex systems gives him credibility with customers and field teams alike.

Among all the areas of the business, Kyle is most passionate about special hazards. He is drawn to the technical challenges these systems present and the problem-solving they require — and he brings the same enthusiasm to teaching and training the next generation of technicians. Developing field talent and building technical capability within the organization is a priority he takes seriously.

In 2026, Kyle was honored by the National Association of Fire Equipment Distributors (NAFED) with the Norb Makowka Award, one of the industry's most respected recognitions for service, integrity, and contribution to the fire protection profession.

Outside of work, Kyle enjoys spending time with his wife and five children. He is an avid camper and golfer and is active in his church and community.

DO THE RIGHT THING

We act with integrity, honesty, and respect — even when it is difficult or costly. We believe how we treat customers, teammates, and communities matters, and we strive to leave people and places better than we found them.

TAKE PRIDE IN THE WORK

We believe quality matters. We value craftsmanship, professionalism, attention to detail, and consistent execution.

OWN THE OUTCOME

We take initiative, solve problems, and accept accountability without passing blame. We own mistakes, follow through on commitments, and act like owners.

EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION

We actively listen, respond promptly, set clear expectations, and communicate proactively with customers and teammates. We address issues directly, follow through on commitments, and ensure smooth transitions at every handoff.

GRIT

We embrace hard work, resilience, adaptability, and perseverance. We step up when things get difficult, solve problems under pressure, and keep moving forward. We are building something meaningful for the long term.

CUSTOMER FIRST

We earn trust by delivering responsive service, quality work, and dependable follow-through. We do what we said we would do, when we said we would do it, for the price we promised — and then throw in a little extra. We treat the customer’s problem like it is our own.
